New York State Hep C Funding we got it

Hi All,
The NYS Legislature just passed the Health Appropriation bill (A.154-c). Included in the budget is a 1.19M appropriation for a Comprehensive Hepatitis C program in New York State. The language funding the program is located on page 77 of the attached bill (it is page 71 of the PDF document.)

This funding represents a great step forward in providing services to individuals at risk for Hep C and those diagnosed with Hep C. It will be critical for advocates and NYS DOH to work together to make this funding accessible to qualified organizations and health centers as quickly as possible.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in the NYS Hep C advocacy day on March 4th – that event surely helped make this funding possible.

Happy Friday!
